Yay! Who remembers the hit movie Terminator from the 1980s? Arnold Schwarzenegger made "I'll be back" famous, and... it is back! Since we're talking time travel here, the 'sequel' was already back, if we're going to get all technical. Yep, I'm talking about a follow-up to the cult film, and what an unusual comeback it was. Not just one, but three very unusual films, actually. The humorous but tragic part, though, is that you, dear decent prim and proper church-going reader, must pretend you don't know anything about it...
Especially now with the rage about artificial intelligence chatbots like Gemini, ChatGPT, and my favorite Venice.ai, and how incredibly 'intelligent' they had become in just a year or three, taking a look at Terminator again is a good thing. There are very legit concerns that the whole premise of the Terminator franchise - watch out for that automatic garage door and self-driving car of yours - may actually come true. Why would robots powered with interconnected intelligence higher than ours, want to have us puny humans as their masters? A recent study showed that AI now outperforms PhD candidates, FFS.
In a world where movies are a dime a dozen, it's rare to find a pair of films that can capture the hearts and minds of audiences in such unique and unexpected ways, as Terminator and Penetrator did. These two movies that on the surface seem worlds apart, have managed to do just that. The first, a groundbreaking sci-fi action film that has become a classic, and the second, an adult parody that took the original's premise and went wild with it, might seem like an odd pairing. The way the brains of film viewers work made both beloved cult classics, and I took an hour or three thinking about the why's and how's.
But what happened to Sarah Connor and her son?
The Terminator, directed by James Cameron that also mastered the film Titanic, is a classic science fiction film that has captivated audiences since its release in 1984. The movie tells the story of a cyborg assassin, the Terminator, sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor, the mother of the future leader of the human resistance against machines. The film's blend of action, suspense, and humor has made it a beloved classic, and its influence can be seen in countless other films and TV shows.
But what happened after the Terminator's mission was complete? Did Sarah Connor and her son John manage to change the course of history and prevent the rise of the machines? These are the questions that the parody-film you absolutely have to deny knowing anything about, Penetrator, seeks to answer.
The Penetrator, also known as Penetration: The Sex Infiltrators, is a 1991 American adult film directed by Mad Dan Dan. I just want to interrupt myself here by saying that may not be his real name. In the naughty industry everyone uses fake names. Someone else on Reddit said the writer was one Gregory Dark, but I trust the Internet Movie Data Base (imdb) more, that claims Mad Dan Dan was the writer.
In an alternate universe...
The film takes the basic premise of the original and adds a new twist: what if the Terminator's mission wasn't just to kill Sarah Connor, but to impregnate her instead? The result is a wild and wacky ride that is equal parts action, comedy, and romance. Okay, I'm stretching it a bit with the romance claim.
The film is making fun of the Terminator franchise, with a plot that revolves around a sex cyborg named Penetrator, played by pornographic actor Woody Long, who is sent back in time to 1991 by a future artificial intelligence called Fishnet to impregnate Farrah Fonnor, played by actress Angela Summers, who is the future mother of the leader of the rebellion against Fishnet. That's a mouthful, but the whole story plot in one paragraph.
Initially when I first heard about the movie, I've read the Pregnator was a woman, and I thought, yep, all woke, one hottie impregnating another hottie. But Fishnet must've given the female robot the right male tools, if you catch my drift. And I thought the day us men quit mowing the lawn, AI is going to make us obsolete. But then I did more research, and found out that one should not trust any AI chatbot to give one truthful answers. I got so many wrong 'facts' from AI about the movie, that I almost went and go watch it myself. (Play clever; always deny seeing any adult movie.)
The Pregnator is actually a man, as one would expect and if someone on Reddit will just please stop lying and feeding AI the wrong facts, and the cyborg is played by actor Woody Long. Long wood, get it? Gullible me saw through that pseudonym. Interestingly enough, looking at the main photo of this article, he looks like a young John Travolta with a whiff of Arnold Schwarzenegger in him.
The plot gets pretty wild
The film's plot follows Penetrator as he navigates the past, attempting to locate and seduce Farrah Fonnor. Remember, he's the bad guy in the story, but looks really good, like a twin of that slender bad guy in the Terminator. Meanwhile, the biological father called Reese (played by well-known porn actor Ron Jeremy, that looks really bad but that's the good guy) of Gonnor (leader of the human rebels fighting against extinction by using orgies to procreate faster) is sent to impregnate Farrah first, so that Gonnor could be born, while avoiding various obstacles and enemies sent by Fishnet to stop him. The English tenses here are my obstacles, I'm thinking evil Sam Altman from OpenAI is the cyborg on my case. Anyway, along the way, Penetrator encounters and engages in sexual encounters with various characters, including a police officer, a scientist, and a biker. This somewhat sums up the whole story plot.
The film features a mix of science fiction and erotica, with scenes of explicit sexual content interspersed with action sequences and dialogue that parodies the original Terminator films. The film's slogan, "I'll come again!", is a play on the Terminator's catchphrase, "I'll be back", and refers to the cyborg's ability to, well, keep going.
Judgement Day, and then on repeat?
The Penetrator was released in 1991 and was followed by a sequel, Penetrator 2: Grudge Day, in 1995. The film's title, "Grudge Day," refers to the day when Penetrator will finally succeed in his mission to impregnate Farrah Fonnor. A third film, Re-Penetrator, was released in 2004. A few new characters and plotlines are introduced in each film.
I think it was around this time that the story-telling part of adult films died. After this time, adult films became really lame, with too much boinking and no 'story' behind new movies. Not that I have ever seen any adult movie, okay. Just going on hearsay here.
Why you should watch!
For starters, it's a must-see for fans of The Terminator. The film takes the basic premise of the original and adds a new and exciting twist, making it a worthy follow-up to the classic sci-fi film. Plus, it's a great way to spend an evening with the whole family. That is, if you like pranking your parents and grandparents and seeing them with tomato-red faces, and obviously no children should be around. The film's blend of action, comedy, and 'romance' makes it a fun and entertaining prank.
Okay, fine, I should level with you. Penetrator, and the two others that followed, is not a sequel to Terminator by the same studio. Instead, it followed the success formula of many other Hollywood movies, where a succesful hit is followed up with a parody making fun of it, by another film director. Think Scary Movie, for example.
This is why watching Penetrator is a must. Because it's so funny! Just look at how the names resembles each other. In Terminator, Skynet is the evil force, in Penetrator it is 'Fishnet'. Sarah Connor becomes Farrah Fonnor. And so on. Lovers of Terminator certainly said 'WTF' many times, but officially didn't dare to admit watching any of the three Penetrator films. In the 1990s everyone went to church, remember.
Throughout the series, the Penetrator films have been known for their explicit sexual content, parodies of popular science fiction films, and campy humor. The films have gained a cult following among fans of adult entertainment and science fiction, and I believe it is because there are more to the films than just sex. They do tell a story, even though it's all parodies of other mainstream films.
I can just imagine how the writers of the particular films laughed histerically while watching the Hollywood versions, as they plotted how to turn it into sexual parodies.
What happens in the mind when watching films like these?
When I first saw the promotional poster - that I'm featuring as main picture on top of this article - I immediately wondered how the brain makes connections between two movies, that causes both movies to become cult classics. Plus, all the movies mentioned made millions.
When we watch movies, our brains are constantly making connections between the images, sounds, and ideas presented on screen. These connections can be conscious or unconscious, but they play a crucial role in shaping our understanding and appreciation of the films we watch. In the case of two movies, Terminator and Penetrator, the connections made by viewers have helped to establish both films as cult classics. When one grasps this success formula, and if you love bed gymnastics yourself, you may be looking at an exciting career. Like the porn actress Nina Hartley, that appeared in more than one thousand porn films! Man, she's a hard worker. LOL.
So how did these two movies, one a serious sci-fi action film and the other an adult parody, become connected in the minds of viewers? There are several factors that contributed to this phenomenon.
First, both films share a common theme: the battle between humans and machines. The Terminator explores the idea of a future where machines become self-aware and seek to destroy humanity, while Penetrator takes this idea and runs with it, adding a sexual twist to the mix. This shared theme creates a connection between the two films, making them feel like part of the same universe.
Second, both films feature a strong female protagonist. Sarah Connor in The Terminator and Farrah Fonnor in Penetrator are both determined and resourceful women who are central to the plot of their respective films. This commonality creates a connection between the two characters and helps to establish a sense of continuity between the two movies.
Third, both films have a campy, over-the-top quality that appeals to audiences. The Terminator is known for its intense action sequences and one-liners, while Penetrator is a parody that takes the original film's premise, twist it up a bit, and adding humor and sexual innuendo to the mix. This shared sense of humor and campiness helps to create a connection between the two films and makes them both enjoyable in their own unique ways. It's like a common guy in a mining town called Springs telling a dirty joke to a barlady in the hopes of getting her horny for him, instead of just whipping out his wiener as men these days do on the internet.
Both films - or rather, all four - have a cult following that has helped to establish them as classics in their own right. Fans of The Terminator have long appreciated its influence on the sci-fi genre, probably because we all fear the potential of robots and machines, and lately realizing just how powerful computers and artificial intelligence had become. Similarly, fans of Penetrator have embraced its humor and sexual themes, making it a cult classic in its own right, because building a story based around another mainstream film but with sex as centerpoint always works to sell a film.
How to get your own cult fan club while rolling in the hay money
So... what does this type of article has to do with the topic of my blog, which is self-development and making money? Simple. The three adult movies cashed in big-time over the years, while it certainly entertained millions, and caused that many millions of viewers various forms of pleasure too. The secret to wealth is to deliver a wealth of value to society, then it will repay you with pieces of paper called money.
I'm now picturing your neighbors doing a roleplay night, with Mr Jones putting on a tacky leather jacket smelling like moth balls. Can you, dear reader, claim to have made a video that made people both horny and aroused? Thus, kudos to the writers, directors, and actors of the movies.
The moral of this article is what you should take to bed. I want to plant an idea in your head, of course. Is it possible that naughty you can do something similar with that home amateur video of yours and the missus, and cash in big? OR... You can even cover your face if you want to become mysteriously famous. Then upload it to PornHub or somewhere else where you can cash in millions, and get your own cult club of fans. What ya sayin, Spiderman?
